Finding Your Safe Place – A Guided Exercise for Challenging Moments
In our healing journeys, there are times when we need a space where we can feel safe—a place that is uniquely ours, where we can find calm, regain our balance, and reconnect with ourselves. That’s why I’ve created a guided audio recording to help you discover and create your own safe place—a refuge within you that you can access whenever you need it. Holidays and festive seasons often come with a mix of emotions.
For some, they’re filled with joy and connection, but for others, they can be overwhelming, triggering, or even lonely. Memories, expectations, or the fast pace of life during this time can make it harder to find peace. This guided exercise is here to support you in those moments. Your safe place can be whatever feels comforting to you—a quiet forest, a cozy room, or even a completely imaginary space. What matters is that it’s yours, offering you a sense of safety, grounding, and protection whenever you need it.
What is a “Safe Place”? A safe place is a mental and emotional space you create for yourself. It’s somewhere you can retreat to when life feels overwhelming, stressful, or too much to handle. It’s personal, empowering, and designed to help you feel secure, no matter what’s happening around you.
During the exercise, I’ll guide you step by step to imagine and build this space. You’ll bring in details that make it feel peaceful and safe for you, whether it’s the sounds, textures, or even the temperature of this place.
Over time, it can become a tool you can rely on—a place to visit whenever you need comfort or clarity. Why This Exercise Matters In moments of stress or emotional overwhelm, having a safe place to turn to can make a significant difference. It helps you pause, breathe, and reconnect with yourself, giving you the strength to navigate whatever comes next. This holiday season, whether you’re feeling joy, sadness, or a bit of both, this exercise is here to help you find a sense of calm and control.
If you’d like to try it, feel free to reach out, and I’ll send you the recording. It’s a resource for you to use whenever and however you need it.
Take care of yourself—you deserve peace and comfort on your journey.
From my soul to yours,
Anca
